Peggy Brown - Owner/Manager
Peggy has been in the Title and Escrow business since 2005. She started in the business as an abstractor and quickly moved into the role of closer. With a small office of only three people, she was taught how to examine title. In 2017, she became part owner with Rex Kirksey. Then last year (2018), she purchased the membership interest held by Rex’s estate and became full owner. All though she is the “boss” she continues to abstract, close and examine files. Customers are always happy that she has time to visit with them and help them through their transaction.
Peggy was born and raised in the Quay County area. She is well acquainted with many of the farming and ranching families as her family was involved in the industry.
Peggy and her husband Jonathan have three beautiful kids and two grand kids. The oldest, Brooke and her boys live in Texas. Kaden and Kaylee are in middle school and keep their parents busy with sports and other activities in the Community.
Peggy currently serves on the NMLTA Board as Agent at Large Director and is Co-Chair for the Membership Committee. Her goals for her term on the Board is to increase membership and help the Independent Agents with any issues they are having in the industry.
Saray Martinez - Title Producer
Saray Martinez was raised in Tucumcari, NM and has since settled in Tucumcari with her husband and 3 small children.
Saray started working for First Title Services on February 1, 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and Escrow Officer.
She went on to take her licensing exam in August 2018 becoming fully licensed as a Title Producer. She has since been working hard to learn the many aspects of the closing side in order to better serve customers.
Aleahna Branch - Support Staff/Notary
Aleahna has now worked in the Title Service field for just under two years. She is learning more each day and is enjoying the challenging work it entails. Aleahna is strong willed and determined to get fully licensed and continue to serve the customers of these counties.
Aleahna was born and raised in Quay County. She grew up in 4-H and FFA showing many animals along the way. She is well acquainted with the ranching and farming families in the area as well as surrounding areas. If she is not working she is helping her family raise cattle and make sure that chores are done.
Aleahna has her Associates of Applied Science in Ag Science. She ultimately wants to get her Title license as well as push forward with school.
She has many nieces and nephews which she spends time with weekly as she tries to attend many sporting events for them. She is a family oriented and determined to make a difference in someone’s life along the way.
Betty Jo Martinez - Support Staff/Notary
Betty Jo started at First Title Services in 2019, and is our Escrow Officer and a Notary. She handles payments, does Notary’s and a wide range of other responsibilities in the office. She lived in Harding County for 21 years and recently became a Quay County resident. She is the wife of 1of Tucumcari’s finest Police Officers, Corporal Herman Martinez; mother of 4(Jonathan, Samantha, Audra and Alberto) and grandmother of 6(Nevaeh, Alayna, Izaak Jo, Lexiana, Liam and Aleigha). She is also active with Tucumcari Fire Dept. and EMS.
